Visit with Maria and Pierre

On Sunday we were all invited to Maria's house to eat with her and Pierre. (For those who don't know, Maria is my first cousin once removed.) She lives out in the country in an area with many fields of olives and grapes. The day was beautiful and we had the opportunity to take a nice long walk after the dinner of couscous and lamb. Maria is quite the cook!

Before we took our walk, Maria pulled out some old photo albums and found this picture of my grandmother, Suzanne.

Out on the country roads we could see way out to the blue-gray mountains in the background.
